Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site and enjoy the bar. If something here gets in your way, please tell us — we would rather hear about it than have you go without.

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is accessible, and we follow the newer WCAG 2.2 guidance where it applies to us. The site is built to be used with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high zoom, and with motion and animation turned off. We do not claim to be perfect, and the section below lists what we know still falls short.

Visiting us

Step-free entry from the street — a permanent ramp is in place at the front door
The entrance door is held open during service hours
No steps or level changes anywhere inside
An accessible table with wheelchair clearance sits at the front of the room, immediately to the right as you enter
Restroom is on the same floor, with grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair around
A drop-off space is available on 19th Street at the corner
Service animals are welcome
Printed menus are available; we do not currently have a large-print version
Live music nights get loud — quieter times and seating areas are available, just ask
Call ahead with any access need and our staff will help however we can

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them:

On the events calendar, event types are distinguished by colour in the key. Every event still carries its own text label, so nothing is communicated by colour alone, but the key itself is easier to read if you can distinguish the colours.
Our Wine Club sign-up is hosted on a separate service that we do not control, so we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If you have trouble with it, contact us directly and we will sign you up ourselves.
