Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site and enjoy the bar. If something here gets in your way, please tell us — we would rather hear about it than have you go without.

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is accessible. The site is built to be used with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high zoom, and with motion and animation turned off.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them:

On the events calendar, event types are distinguished by colour in the key. Every event still carries its own text label, so nothing is communicated by colour alone, but the key itself is easier to read if you can distinguish the colours.
The small navigation dots on the homepage slideshow are a narrow target to hit. The arrow buttons beside them are larger and do the same job, and the slideshow can be paused.
Our Wine Club sign-up is hosted on a separate service that we do not control, so we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If you have trouble with it, contact us directly and we will sign you up ourselves.
